About Us

Calm Travel Edit sits at the intersection of travel, wellbeing and place.

We curate and score destinations through the lens of how they make people feel, looking beyond beautiful hotels and bucket list experiences to consider the whole journey: how easy it is to arrive, how an environment supports rest and regulation, access to nature, inclusivity, sensory experience and opportunities for genuine connection.

Our Calm Edits help travellers discover places according to what they need from their time away — from Burnout Recovery and SEN Friendly Escapes to Digital Detox, Nature Therapy, Wellness Retreats and Connection Escapes.

Behind our recommendations is a growing set of proprietary assessment frameworks that allow us to look more deeply at the relationship between destination, environment and wellbeing.

We also work with tourism boards, destinations and hospitality partners, using this approach to uncover strengths, identify opportunities and help create and communicate more restorative, inclusive visitor experiences.

Because for us, the question isn't simply "Where should you go?" It's "Where will you feel your best?"

Our Story

Calm Travel Edit began with a simple observation: we're getting better at going away, but not necessarily better at coming back restored.

Travel can be overwhelming — endless choices, busy resorts, packed itineraries and the pressure to make every moment count. And what feels restorative is different for everyone.

For one person, it's switching off in nature. For another, it's finding somewhere that understands their family's sensory needs. It might be investing in wellbeing, slowing down or simply reconnecting with the people who matter.

Bringing together our backgrounds in wellbeing, environment, tourism and destination marketing, we created Calm Travel Edit to look at travel differently — focusing not just on where people want to go, but why they need to get away and how they want to feel when they return.

Because sometimes the best thing you can bring home from a holiday is simply feeling more like yourself again.

Our Vision

We believe travel should leave you feeling better than when you arrived.

Our vision is to change the way destinations are discovered and experienced by putting wellbeing at the heart of travel. Instead of asking only where do you want to go?, we want to help travellers consider what do you need from your time away?

Through thoughtful curation and our own wellbeing-led assessment frameworks, we identify destinations and experiences that support rest, recovery, connection and inclusion. At the same time, we work with destinations and tourism partners to recognise what they already do well, understand where the visitor experience could be improved and create places that better support the wellbeing of the people who visit them.

Ultimately, we want restorative travel to become more than a travel trend. We want it to become a better way to travel.
